Topic: Using social media and mobile devices in the classroom Audience: High school and college instructors Purpose: Provide an online resource for both students and educators that are taking classes in the convergence lab at Collin College. The online resource will provide independent instruction on the function and basic operation of mobile devices available through the convergence lab. Additional information will be available on the pedagogical use of the mobile devices. The online job aid will be used in a self-directed manner while in the lab as a class or as an individual. Also designed to serve as a support system of information after returning to individual schools.
Problem
The master instructor of a social media class has determined that there is not enough time in a professional development workshop to spend going over the basic operation of various mobile devices nor the basic functions of various online applications. Online resources are needed not only during the course of the workshop but also afterwards for instructors to refresh their knowledge as well as resource for other instructors that were not able to attend the workshop.
NOTE: The course description of the full course can be found HERE.The Goals and Objectives below are for the full course. This wiki, CTC Resources, serves as a job aid to the full course.
